Welcome to brand new blog! I am super excited about this one and I have so much I want to share I don't even know where to begin. I have had several fleeting blog attempts over the years, most of which have ended in severe neglect. Rarely due to lack of inspiration, but rather lack of time and space to devote to all the crazy projects in my head. But this time is different, I am in a new place in my life and a new place in this world too! You read all about all things art + craft over at A is for Arrow. But at Things With Wings it is going to be different!This blog is solely devoted to all things wedding and all things love! But not in the usual way that website or magazines are devoted to weddings. I am not going to encourage to to buy at $3,000 dress because it is going to be "the happiest day of your life", or to spring for the fillet mignon because it's your wedding day and it's totally worth it. Nope not here, after planning my own wedding this past summer I quickly realized that it takes a lot of work to pull off the perfect day when your budget is, ahem, less than average (most websites and mags cite $20,000-$30,000 as average... yikes!). But it is completely possible, however daunting and stressful the task might seem, I am here to say it is completely possible!
I thought all this wedding planning business was behind me, but upon the recent engagement of a dear friend, all those wedding ideas were swirling through my head again. So I'm going to share them! So please check back soon for simple, crafty, cute, and inexpensive wedding to-dos!
